He became an in-demand actor who had memorable performances in ‘The Bob Newhart Show’ and ‘Newhart.’ In more recent times, Newhart had a guest role in ‘The Big Bang Theory,’ and he took home his first and only Primetime Emmy Award. He appeared in a docuseries in 2021 called ‘History of the Sitcom.’
