If your friend accomplished something good, surely you’ll be happy for them. However, when Hugh Jackman received a nomination from a prestigious award-giving body for a job well done, his pal Ryan Reynolds is not so convinced that he deserved it.
The ‘Wolverine’ star was nominated for playing the scandalous school superintendent in ‘Bad Education,’ the fifth time he received a nod from the Emmys. In 2005, Hugh was given an award by the body for his hosting gig at the Tony Awards.

When news about Hugh’s nomination reached Ryan, the ‘Deadpool’ star took to social media to troll his friend. At first, the Canadian actor congratulated his pal for his ‘crazy’ Emmy nomination before second-thinking his words over, seemingly hinting that the Aussie didn’t deserve the nod.
The hilarious clip, of course, cracked most of their fans, who have seen how the two banter on social media with their own antics. In an interview, Hugh addressed Ryan’s reaction, saying that the ‘Green Lantern’ star obviously didn’t take the good news well.

Hugh predicted that because of his Emmy nomination, Ryan will stay in bed for three days and even quipped that this will make Blake Lively happy. After all, the comedian is quite a lot, the ‘Logan’ star added, so spending time with him during the quarantine period must have been hard for her.
Hugh also took the teasing to social media when he shared Ryan’s video and quipped that his buddy was ‘looking a bit green.’ In another interview, the 51-year-old shared that he has received so many texts from people, sending their congratulatory messages for the feat but not one from the 43-year-old.
Faux Fight
The two equally good-looking stars have been in a faux feud in recent years, which most people love to see on social media. This long-standing fight, Hugh said, started when Ryan was still married to Scarlett Johansson.

Hugh and Ryan met on the set of ‘X-Men Origins: Wolverine,’ which was released in 2009. The former played Wolverine/Logan while the latter took on the role of the comedic Deadpool/Wade Wilson.
Apparently, Hugh would always tease Ryan on set since ‘The Greatest Showman’ star is close to the ‘Avengers’ actress, saying he should be on his best behavior. Then, they went on to escalate the feud on social media.
There were moments when Ryan would make fun and mimic Hugh’s Australian accent. ‘The Proposal’ actor also reamed his pal during the Australia Day and even said that playing ‘Wolverine’ was a ‘career-low.’
Then, Hugh got Jake Gyllenhaal as an accomplice during the holidays in 2018. Ryan uploaded a photo of the three while he was the only one wearing a Christmas sweater and the two, normal attires.
