Celebrities – they are just like us. They love to eat out in restaurants while being served with some of the best dishes and given world-class service. However, they also have to navigate problems like trying to make a reservation in a fully booked restaurant.
While most of us have to find somewhere else to eat when we’re told that a restaurant is fully booked, celebrities use their charm and charisma to somehow walk past the receptionist and get a table. In fact, some people have found ways to use Kendall Jenner’s name to bypass reservations.
Using Kendall Jenner’s Name
When you are one of the most sought-after models, everyone wants to be associated with you and people would do just about anything to be near you. That is actually true for Kendall – just mention her name and others would immediately accommodate you.
In May, a TikTok user, @nnsummerfield, conducted a successful experiment at a posh restaurant frequented by Kendall Jenner herself. In the video, the woman was talking to her phone, asking to make reservations for 7:30 for two people. However, the hostess told her that they wouldn’t be able to accommodate her because they were fully booked.

So the social media user went on to say that the reservation was for Kendall, as in the reality star. The other line paused before asking how many people would come.
Plain as day, the woman and the rest of those who have seen the viral clip obviously found that using the reality star’s name was powerful enough to land you a reservation. However, many users wondered if the hostess had to cancel other customers just to accommodate the model.
Password?
The video became viral and it didn’t take too long for other people to join in the bandwagon and try dining at a posh restaurant using Kendall’s name. User @lmalikk called Nobu, which serves Japanese food, and asked for a table for two.

However, the hostess told her that a table would be available only at around 6 or 6:30 p.m., so the caller pulled out the Kendall card. Although it may have been her ticket to eating at a very popular restaurant, the receptionist asked for a password.
Rude?
Kendall may have a million-dollar name but not all staffers are ecstatic to see her. In fact, another social media user rated the model only 4 out of 10 on her list of celebrities she wanted to serve when she worked as a waitress in New York.

Apparently, the 24-year-old was cold toward the restaurant staff and would ask someone to speak to them on her behalf. However, the social media user also linked this behavior to Kendall’s rumored shy personality.
