Gene Wilder, Died At Age 83, 1933-2016

Jerome Silberman, better known as Gene Wilder, made so many contributions to the American entertainment industry. He is most remembered for bringing to life Willy Wonka’s character in the 1971 movie “Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory.” According to his “IMDb” page, Wilder had 37 acting credits under his belt when he died in 2016.
Wilder was afflicted with Alzheimer’s disease, which is a debilitating disease. We’re presuming he was primarily homebound because of the issues he was experiencing. That explains why his last photo was captured at the “US Open” for the Men’s Finals almost a year before his death.
