Cass Elliot, Died At Age 32, 1941–1974

Cass Eliott was a famous songstress back in the olden days. She was best known as part of the folk-rock vocal group, “The Mamas and the Papas,” as well as one of the three members of the music trio “The Big 3.”
Nicknamed “Mama Cass” by many, Elliott was a mother in real life although, she had two unsuccessful marriages.

On April 22, 1974, she collapsed before appearing on “The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson” but did not think much of it. Unfortunately for her, it may have been due to some underlying health concerns. She died in her sleep on July 29, 1974, which was later confirmed as heart failure.
