Tom Petty – Died At Age 66, 1950-2017
Thomas Earl Petty, better known as Tom Petty, was a popular figure in the American music industry. He founded the rock band “Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers,” in which he also served as the lead singer and guitarist. The group released 16 studio albums and over 65 singles during its active years.
The band, of course, was no more after Petty’s demise as he was the main man. He was yet again another life claimed by drugs. A father of two, Petty accidentally overdosed on drugs and died on October 2, 2017, only one week after the 40th Anniversary Tour of the Heartbreakers.
