Don Knotts, Died At Age 81, 1924–2006

“The Andy Griffith Show” was one of the most popular sitcoms of the ’60s, and even though Don Knotts wasn’t the main star, the show wouldn’t have been the same without him. His other noteworthy roles were in “Three’s Company” and “The Incredible Mr. Limphet,” all of which contributed to him being named the 27th greatest television star in history.

A father of two, Knotts was married thrice during his lifetime. When he passed away on February 24, 2006, he was survived by his wife at the time, Frances Yarborough. Knotts battled lung cancer, the complications of which claimed his life.
