Carl Reiner – Corporal: 1942
Carl Reiner was best known as the creator and producer of “The Dick Van Dyke Show.” He was enlisted in the U.S. Army Air Force, and during world war II, he served as a radio operator before studying to become a French translator. He also served as a teletype operator before joining a military entertainment unit.
After leaving the Army, Reiner found his way into the acting profession, directing his first movie “The Jerk” and appearing in the film “Oh, God!” he also starred in several movies like ” The Man with Two Brains” and some television series before he died at the age of 98 in 2020.
