Tom Selleck – Sergeant: 1967
Tom Selleck majored in business administration at the University of Southern California. But advice from a drama coach convinced him to enter the world of acting. He was pretty good—good enough to catch the attention of Twentieth Century Fox, who offered him an opportunity to join their talent program.
Sadly, his training was interrupted during the Vietnam War when he got drafted. Immediately, Selleck joined the California National Guard, where he served for six years before returning to civilian life. In 2021, the actor was named an executive producer of the long-running CBS series “Blue Bloods.”
