Robert Duvall – Private First Class: 1953
Robert Duvall is famous for movies like “Apocalypse Now” and “Ike: The War Years.” The actor grew up a Navy brat, and his dad intended for him to follow in his footsteps. But when he decided to enlist, he didn’t enroll at the Navy Academy.
Instead, Duvall enlisted in the Army and became a Private First Class. And while he didn’t get the chance to fight in combat, he did act in a stage production of “Room Service” while stationed at Fort Gordon. Then, in 2021, he took on the role of Mason Hawk in the movie “12 Mighty Orphans.”
