It’s amazing the sheer number of people who don’t do their due diligence before heading to the beach. It may be normal to find an empty spot on private beaches, but no one is ever that lucky on public beaches. So Patricia should have been worried when she happened upon an empty patch of sand.
In the end, she ended up with a face and body full of sand, courtesy of the 75 athletes who were taking part in the triathlon course hosted in that area. The worst part of this tale is the fact that Patricia had already put on sunscreen.
