A Different View On Freedom
The Statue of Liberty is seen as a symbol of hope and freedom and represents everything that makes America great. So when the designers for the hard-hitting German weekly magazine Der Spiegel tried to showcase their points of view on the state of America under various presidents, they used Lady Liberty as their symbol.
They depict Donald Trump beheading her, most likely due to his policy on immigrants and their view on the negative perception it creates. They bring her back for Joe Biden, this time showing him putting her head back in light of the positive perception the world has of him.
