These Celebrities Were Quite the Athletes Back in The Day
George Clooney – Baseball
Born of Irish and German ancestry, George Clooney was as American growing up as possible. He had a liking for baseball and played on a varsity team at high school. He even tried to go pro at 16 when he gave trials for the Cincinnati Reds, but that didn’t work out.
After that, he was briefly a salesman before he got into acting. He finally rose to prominence when he played Doug Ross on the medical-based TV series “ER.” Since then, he’s won two Oscars, including one for acting in the movie “Syriana.” In 2022, he was a guest on the popular talk show “Jimmy Kimmel Live!”
