Deana Carter took over the mid-’90s by giving women around the world a song that allowed them to express their displeasure with a date. That sound was called Did I Shave My Legs for This? And besides the catchiness, it also went five times platinum and gave Carter the springboard to further success with albums like Everything’s Gonna Be Alright.
Some of her biggest hits include How Do I Get There, which reached number one on the country charts. It wouldn’t be uncommon to see Carter without makeup, especially on videos that she records quite candidly. She last featured in a 2020 TV movie called A Very Country Christmas: Homecoming.
