Anne Murray is a Canadian icon who broke the American music scene when she became the first singer from her country to chart at number one on the U.S. Billboard chart. She also became the first to earn a gold record for her song Snowbird.
Her achievements are viewed as the stepping stone that artists like Celine Dion and Shania Twain used to build their careers. She is another artist who is minimal on makeup and can easily pull off a bare face look since the difference is minimal. In 2020 she appeared as herself in the TV mini-series Absolutely Canadian.
