Roberto Benigni is an Italian actor and director best known for films like “La vita è bella” for which he won an Academy Award, “The Tiger and the Snow,” and “The Monster.” His 2002 film, “Pinocchio,” became the first foreign language film nominated for a Razzie, and Benigni won worst actor.
He is one of the few actors to have an Oscar and a Golden Raspberry. His career has been quite successful despite some setbacks, and in 2021, he was honored with the Golden Lion for lifetime achievement at the Venice Film Festival for his directorial and acting career.
