The “Vampire Diaries” star Ian Somerhalder and his “Twilight” actress wife Nikki Reed are two of Hollywood’s greatest animal lovers, and they’re always looking for new pet additions to their family! In addition to establishing the Ian Somerhalder Foundation, which supports all types of animals, the pair has a house full of saved and adopted pets.
Three cats, two dogs, and two horses live with these Hollywood celebrities. The Wyler Award was presented to the actor in 2012, and the Humane Society bestows this honor on those who have made substantial contributions to animal protection. Sadly, Ira, the beloved dog of Reed and Somerhalder, died in June 2018.
