Justin Theroux is another big proponent of pet adoption, and he uses a major chunk of his Instagram account to promote groups that help rescue dogs find new homes. In 2018, the actor adopted a female pit bull named Kuma, a survivor of Hurricane Harvey.
When Theroux isn’t hanging out with Kuma at press events, he’s supporting local charities and shelters such as Austin Pets Alive, Houston Pets Alive, and Pilot N Paws to encourage people to consider adopting a pet. He told Entertainment Tonight in October 2019 that he brings her everywhere, and he apologizes and leaves when people say he can’t bring her in.
