Whoopi Goldberg – Aviophobia
While living in San Diego during the ’90s, Whoopi Goldberg recalls witnessing an unfortunate mid-air collision between two airplanes from her home’s balcony. Since then, the television personality has been afraid of flying and is always uncomfortable when traveling on a charter plane or private jet.
In a 2011 interview with Piers Morgan, Goldberg discussed her fear of planes and flying and although technology and safety have come a long way since the ’90s, she still “flies like a nun.” In 2021, Goldberg struck a four-year contract deal to remain as the host of the popular ABC daytime show “The View.”
