Ice-cream Price Hike Spurs Shocking Commercial

There’s not a lot of things that could make the president of a corporation make a public apology on National TV. But if we had to guess, their transgression would have little to do with Ice-cream. But Japanese ice cream manufacturer Akagi Nyuguyo clearly follows a different set of rules.
In 2016, when the price of Gariga-Kun increased from ¥60 to ¥70 for the first time in 25 years, the company put out a 60-second commercial publicly apologizing for the price hike. What’s most shocking is that the commercial features Nyuguyo and his staff bowing to viewers and showing their remorse.
