When one is guarding a famous star like Johnny Depp, they can easily be dragged into their life’s affairs. The “Pirates of the Caribbean” franchise star’s bodyguards were drawn into his high-profile court case against his estranged wife, Amber Heard, in 2022, which he ultimately won. That’s not all, though, as he’s previously run into trouble with his former bodyguard employees.
In 2018, the “Black Mass” star made the news as it emerged that he was sued by two of his former bodyguards for “unsafe” working conditions, overworking, and unpaid wages. Depp came to a conditional settlement with the two, effectively terminating the lawsuit.
