Whitney Houston was a popular singer and actress who was famous for her role in the 1992 thriller film “The Bodyguard.” The movie was about a star and her romance with her guardian. Indeed, the picture was inspired in part by Houston’s private security, David Roberts, a Welsh ex-police officer.
Roberts, who worked for Houston from 1988 until 1995, was sacked for expressing worries about her welfare. Since the singer’s death, Roberts has stated that if his fears had been addressed, she might still be alive. He knew his sole duty was to protect her and be with her all the time, but against Houston’s substance abuse, he was helpless.
