As hours passed, more people gathered around the scene, captivated by the lone elephant’s relentless digging. Typically, elephants stick together, but this one’s herd had moved on, seemingly unaware of her struggle. The locals found this unusual, as elephants rarely stay away from their herds for long.
The female elephant, however, appeared unfazed by her isolation, becoming increasingly frantic in her efforts. Female elephants lead their herds, caring for the young and finding food. Yet, it seemed unlikely that food was the goal here. Even the village experts were perplexed by her behavior, unable to determine the cause of her determined excavation.
