Here’s Why Beyoncé, Katy Perry, and 42 Other Celebrities Were Banned From These Countries

Tyler, the Creator – New Zealand

Authorities in New Zealand prohibited the American artist Tyler, the Creator, from entering their country due to suspicions that his tracks contained homophobic content. The first time was when he attempted to enter New Zealand to participate in Auckland’s Big Day Out music festival, but the authorities refused him entry.

In 2014, Tyler had scheduled to play at one of Eminem’s Rapture Tour shows, but he was again denied entry. Nevertheless, his five-year ban ended, and his visa finally came through after the New Zealand immigration stated that the country no longer judged the rapper as a possible threat to the national order and public interest.
