There are unwritten laws in Hollywood about what an actress must do to achieve star status. With 44 years and a filmography in which forgettable titles and forgotten films abound, Kate Beckinsale belongs to the generation of companions such as Rachel Weisz, Kate Winslet, Amy Adams, Charlize Theron, Cate Blanchett or Angelina Jolie. Unfortunately, it cannot be said that she has gained the recognition of these actresses. Nor is it a career that can be compared at the same level. Not that I haven’t tried. In theory, she took the same steps that worked for them.
