News anchors take the spotlight when reading out the news. Still, they never know when a crew member can decide to upset that norm. This Fox reporter was covering a story on “5 News” about a man who was free on bail when a backstage crew member casually walked past the background.
Luckily, the erring crew member noticed the goof early enough. And using the foot on the step in front of him, he propelled himself backward. Although he distracted viewers with the move, we think it was a perfect case of damage control. Still, if the anchor heard any background noise, his facial expression didn’t give him away.
