Situations like this prove that there are three types of reporters. Those who act as if nothing happened. Then, those who glance to check what happened while they continue their job. Lastly, some get distracted and can’t continue. By now, you can tell that the first two types of reporters are professionals.
So when seasoned journalist Joe Torres heard someone fall behind him, he quickly glanced and continued with the news. At the time, he was covering a story about robberies in Bedford Park for WABC-TV’s “Eyewitness News.” Some say Torres proves patriarchy is dead, but you can tell he showed concern in the only way the situation allowed.
