Sylvester Stallone – Rocky
During the ’80s, Sylvester Stallone was one of the biggest action stars out there, providing full entertainment value for audiences looking for an emotionally charged, action-packed performance from a muscle-bound protagonist. Success might have eluded him initially, but Stallone kept at it before pitching a boxed-themed movie to studios and executives.
This would lead to two of the biggest films in his career, “Rocky” (1976) and “Rocky II” (1979). The original 1976 classic generated four fan-favorite sequels and the rest, as they say, was history. In 2021, Stallone said an emotional goodbye to the “Expendables” franchise after he wrapped up filming for the fourth and final iteration of the action saga.
