Meet Our Adorable Titans: Don’t Judge These Gentle Giants By Their Size!

Cat-astrophically Cute

Next time you call a Maine Coon a housecat, remember that these furry pals can be as long as your average toddler! Officially recognized as the state cat of Maine, these native North American felines also have a storied past as prolific hunters, keeping ships and farms mouse-free since the early 19th century.

The spotlight, however, shines on Verismo Leonetti Reserve Red, or “Leo”, who stretched up to a remarkable 40 inches and held the 2006 Guinness World Record for the longest cat. However, an Italian Maine Coon named Barivel recently pawed past Leo, reaching a record-breaking 47.25 inches!
