Julie Andrews, at the tender age of 13, became the youngest solo performer at London Palladium’s Royal Variety Performance. In 1954, she made her Broadway debut with “The Boyfriend”. By 1963, Andrews became popular with the Disney film “Marry Poppins.”
Andrews experienced a professional halt when she lost her singing voice in 1997. She survived that and later received a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award in 2011. “The Sound of Music” star was once married to set designer Tony Walton between 1959 and 1967 and Blake Edwards from 1969 to 2010.
