Lee Majors got his big break in showbiz during the ’60s when he beat over 400 other aspiring actors, including Burt Reynolds, to land the iconic role of Heath Barkley in the television series The Big Valley. He followed it up in 1970 with a role in The Six Million Dollar Man.
His role as Steve Austin, a U.S Air Force Colonel and former astronaut with special abilities in the popular ’70s show proved to be a huge commercial hit, making millions from merchandise sales. For his 82nd birthday in June, Majors and his wife Faith were treated to a delicious birthday dinner from star chef Guy Fieri.
