John Kerry – Martha’s Vineyard (Approx. $11.75 Million)

John Kerry, who was made the special presidential envoy for the climate in 2021, has had an affinity for Massachusetts for a long time. After spending many summers in Nantucket, he splurged $11.75 million in 2017 to purchase this seven-bedroom residence in Martha’s Vineyard.

A home with a long history, it was built in the ’20s and is part of the exclusive community Seven Gates Farm. It’s located right across the water and was constructed to “sink” into the hilltop it was built on. No photos of the home’s interiors seem to be publicly available but The Vineyard Gazette reports that its floors were once painted white, matching its exteriors.
