The Glorious Mansions of 50 Soccer Stars: How They Used Their Millions

Mikael Silvestre – £4.2 Million, Alderley Edge

Mikael Silvestre waited for six years before he bought a house in Knights Keep. It cost him £2 million, and like most football stars, he soon had to put it up for sale when he changed clubs. He initially listed the home in 2009, asking for £4.5 million but sadly, he couldn’t find a buyer.

Silvestre relisted the mansion in 2012, asking for £4.2 million, which was quite a decent sum for the Alderley Edge region. He tried a stint at being a manager in 2015 but left in 2016. He has been keeping a low profile, although he appears as a celebrity for fundraisers like Sonerva Fushi.
