Tony Dow was a competitive swimmer growing up, but he decided to attend casting calls during the ’50s even if he had no experience whatsoever. Luckily, he landed a part in ‘Leave It to Beaver,’ which propelled him into massive fame.
Once the series ended, he appeared in ‘The Greatest Show on Earth,’ ‘Dr. Kildare,’ and ‘My Three Sons.’ Dow ventured into the construction industry in the ’70s while also pursuing filmmaking and journalism. He even did visual effects for ‘Doctor Who.’ From 2015 to 2016, he appeared in ‘Suspense.’
