Kate McKinnon–1984, Actress, Cisgender

Kate McKinnon starred in the 2016 reboot of “Ghostbusters.” But before then, she was a constant presence on Saturday Night Live, for which she won the 2014 American Comedy Award for Best Supporting Actress. Even though her personal orientation hasn’t been talked about as much as other famous actresses, she has always been open about being gay.

During the 2020 Golden Globe Awards, she made a heartfelt speech in which she thanked Ellen DeGeneres for making it easy for her to accept her personal orientation in her younger days. McKinnon is also known as the first openly gay female SNL star.
