The Wachowski twins gained international recognition for writing and directing the “Matrix” trilogy. The success of the matrix franchise is a testament to their talent as screenwriters. They also handled the screenplay for “V for Vendetta.” Formerly known as the Wachowski brothers, Lilly and Lana are transgender women.
Lilly revealed that being transgender isn’t easy. She describes her transitioning as a reality that will persist throughout her existence rather than a simple matter of before and after, which the term connotes. Lana also expressed gratitude for all the miraculous ways the community has transcended the limitations of ‘two little boxes,’ a metaphor for binary.
