During the ’90s, Splash Mountain at Disney World became popularly referred to as ‘Flash Mountain’ due to some female visitors’ inappropriate behavior. These individuals would expose their chests on the large final incline and take photographs, which were then circulated on the Internet.
In response, Disney World staff had to inform the riders that they could retake their ride and that their photos would be retaken to prevent any further inappropriate images from being seen by the public. Unfortunately, some of these images still made it online, but the team at Disney World remains vigilant in ensuring that all images are appropriate and family-friendly.
