Considered by many to be Hollywood’s golden couple, Joanne Woodward And Paul Newman’s was an ideal love story that has a Hollywood ending. Their story, though sweet, wasn’t as straightforward in the beginning when they met in 1953 because Newman was still married to Jackie Witte, his first wife with three children.

However, their meeting in her agent’s air-conditioned office that hot afternoon turned their lives around and they ended up spending five decades together as a married couple, separated only by the passing away of Newman in 2008. Woodward’s last screen performance with her husband was in the miniseries “Empire Falls” in 2005.
