Harry Belafonte – Age 94
The celebrated Jamaican–American pop star began his colorful career singing at a club in New York to support his acting lessons. Since then, he has appeared in numerous musical performances, movies, television shows, and plays. His debut album, ‘Calypso’ released in 1956, was the first LP that sold a million copies in just a year.
Apart from his music and acting career, he is famous for his civil rights activism and a close confidant of Martin Luther King. Harry’s still in the entertainment industry, as he starred in the 2018 film ‘BlacKkKlansman.’ He is also a fellow of the Sanders Institute.
