Sissy Spacek – Age 71
Not everyone gets a mark on Hollywood Boulevards’ walk of fame. To get to that level, one must have attained a certain level of professional achievement and film contribution. That being said, Sissy Spacek’s honorary listing comes with no surprise. After all, she’s a star who embodied ‘Hollywood Icon’ perfectly.
Born and raised in Texas, young Sissy only wanted to be a recording artist. When that failed, she had to switch gears toward acting. Being cast as Carrie White in the 1976 horror classic ‘Carrie’ brought her international fame and an ‘Oscar’ nomination. Following the actress’ critically acclaimed acting, film and TV offers started to roll in. Sissy’s recent work is Amazon’s ‘Homecoming’ series with A-lister Julia Roberts.
