Highly celebrated actress Maggie Smith has been performing since the ‘50s, making her one of the most enduring stars in her home country. Die-hard fans may remember her role in the 1969 movie The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie, for which she won an Academy Award.

Of course, Smith would be eternally known by the younger generation as Mrs. Professor McGonagall in the highly successful franchise Harry Potter.
