Betty Lynn, 94, Born in 1926 – The Andy Griffith Show
Betty Lynn is forever remembered as Thelma Lou, the sweet girlfriend of Barney Fife (Don Knotts) in the hit ‘60s sitcom The Andy Griffith Show. Before taking Hollywood by storm, the Kansas native explored musicals and took part in productions like Oklahoma! and Walk with Music, having been taught by her mother, who was also a singer.
After the show, Lynn continued to stick with wholesome portrayals on TV shows like My Three Sons, Little House on the Prairie, and Matlock. Unfortunately, the star’s appearance in Shades of LA was the last time she acted for the small screen. Now 94, she has understandably stayed under the radar.
