Carl Weathers, 73, Born in 1948 – Rocky
Carl Weathers has been active since the ‘70s, but one of his memorable performances was seen in the Rocky franchise. In the films, he played Apollo Creed, the boxer antagonist, a role he got after insulting the star’s lead, Sylvester Stallone. After this, he was Dillon in the 1987 action movie Predator, again working with a Hollywood legend, Arnold Schwarzenegger.
With decades in the industry, Weathers doesn’t think of retiring just yet. His latest work was in the highly received Disney+ show The Mandalorian, a live-action series based on Star Wars, as Greef Karga.
