These Superstars Gave Up Their Fame To Pursue “Normal” Jobs. Where Are They Now?
Agnetha Faltskog
The most well-known singer from ABBA, and arguably one of the biggest pop acts of the ’70s and early ’80s, is Agnetha Faltskog. She performed in a neighborhood dance band led by Bernt Enghardt while also working as a telephonist for an auto manufacturer. Because of the band’s success, she had to choose between singing and horse riding.
Producer Karl Gerhard Lundkvist, a relative of one of the performers, soon received a recording of the band. She chose to focus on her passions instead after the popularity of her album “I Stand Alone.” Post-retirement, Faltskog spent much of her time at the rural Ekerö home practicing yoga and horse-riding.
