Nursing in itself is a noble profession. But pediatric nurses are held to a much higher standard because their work involves meeting the healthcare needs of children and monitoring their development from infancy to adolescence and above.

It takes about five to eight years to become a qualified professional in this field. And it all begins with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing or an Associate Degree in Nursing. Next comes the National Council Licensure Examination and gaining work experience as a registered nurse. But it doesn’t end there. Rebecca also had to take the Certified Pediatric Nurse exam before applying to grad school.
