THEKLA CAROLA WIED – 78 YEARS
After studying acting at the Folkwangschule in Essen after graduating from high school, Thekla Carola Wied began her more than successful career in 1966 at the theater in Essen and later at the Saarländisches Staatstheater in Saarbrücken. After focusing more on theater roles until the late 1960s, she played her first major television role in 1967 in the film Trace of a Girl.
Her big breakthrough came with the leading role in the hit series “I Marry a Family”, which made Thekla a popular television actress, especially in the 1980s. But even today, Wied is still relevant. It was only in 2022 that she starred in the television film “Martha Liebermann – Ein stolen life”.
