He was born Lawrence Wendell Pfohl in New York and actually wanted to be a football player. Although he has had moderate success in this sport, he has shown greater talent in wrestling. After quitting football, he won the NWA Southern Florida Heavyweight Championship in his first season as a wrestler. At the time he was only 27 years old, winning countless other championships and becoming a familiar face in the wrestling world. Many fans are likely to have fallen at the feet of this strong young man. He pursued his passion for wrestling until 2005 before retiring due to illness.
