Jennifer Beals – Flashdance
As far as iconic movie dance scenes go, Jennifer Beals’ number in the 1983 film “Flashdance” is still up there among the most unforgettable ones. What’s more, the role helped cement her as one of the stars to watch out for in the ’80s as it earned her a Golden Globe nod. She had to stall her career, though, in favor of attending Yale University.
Beals made a successful comeback, later on, starring in a series of films in the ’90s before coming to prominence once again for the TV drama “The L Word.” Beals reprised her role as Bette Porter in “The L Word: Generation Q” in 2021.
