Charles Dance – Age 74
Actor Charles Dance has earned a reputation for playing terrifying, villainous characters, such as when he played Tywin Lannister in the hit HBO show “Game of Thrones” and John Lyle in the 2019 movie “Fanny Lye Deliver’d.” The Royal Shakespeare Company alum is also hailed for his performances as Lord Mountbatten in “The Crown” in 2020.
Decades into the industry and Dance refused to call himself a “movie star” and prefers “working actor” more, he revealed to the Financial Times in 2020. As for his thoughts on saying goodbye to the industry, he believes that if old stars retire, then there would be no one left to play characters of advanced age.
