Maggie Smith, one of the most treasured and recognizable faces in TV, stage, and film, has been active in the industry since the ’50s. With her impressive acting portfolio, it’s unbelievable that she didn’t know how she became interested in the industry, especially since her parents weren’t too keen on it either.
Millennials may forever associate her with Minerva McGonagall, her character in the “Harry Potter” franchise, or as Dowager Countess of Grantham in “Downton Abbey.” However, in an interview with the Evening Standard, she revealed that she prefers gracing the stage to the other media.
